Electronic board repair and industrial fault finding
Electra carries out fault finding on the electronic boards it manufactures with a systematic approach: measurements, hypotheses, verification, report.
We work on boards we have designed and, where possible, on third-party boards too, as a one-off or ongoing contract service.
What we actually do

How we work
Frequently asked questions about electronic board repair
No, ours is a B2B service, not B2C. We only repair boards we have manufactured, because we know we have all the documentation needed to do the job properly.
We start with visual diagnostics, electrical measurements and behaviour analysis. When needed we use more advanced instruments (thermal camera, oscilloscope, logic analyser) and in complex cases we carry out partial reverse engineering to rebuild the schematic of the faulty section.
The cost depends on the diagnosis time, the components to be replaced and their availability. We provide a quote before starting work and, if the repair is not worthwhile, we tell you clearly.
Yes. For OEMs and service centres with a steady flow of faulty boards, we set up a contract repair service with an agreed SLA, reporting and spare parts management.
Yes. When we find a systemic fault (undersized component, thermal problem, EMC), we propose a targeted redesign or a retrofit. It often costs less than repeated repairs.
